Hello Benton City!

I am opening this blog site to have some place to speak up and express opinions and concerns, make suggestions, share ideas so the rest of the community can hear and consider the subjects.  This forum is an effort to gather information and facts together so the citizens can see the planning strategies currently in play and what government is doing in our community.

I hope to encourage citizens to address each other's Questions and Answers regarding the direction and problems of Benton City.  Make comments on the topic presented. Read the materials linked to the blog. Visit the websites of neighboring cities

I made up a topic list to begin discussions. These are not final by any means. Email me for changes you would like to see made. I can post a topic for discussion. The blogger will allow me to add other authors to post so I will need an email if you want to author.

Looking for the citizens ideas and desires for the town. Ideas for anything and everything! Let us hear from our younger generation to those who have retired here.  In this process we will get to know our community and be able to rebuild our city. 

Let's get busy discussing and solving the issues. We can all be a part of the future! We just have to act on our decisions and ideas to make them happen.

As an introduction I am Cecelia Hickel, married to Patrick Megowan and we live in Benton City, Washington. At this time I am still in the running for Mayor, though the primary August 4, 2015 is still not concluded whether I advance to the main election.  The blog will remain even if I do not continue on to become the Mayor.
