What is your stance on the marijuana moratorium?
Generally speaking the state of Washington is becoming intolerant of marijuana moratoriums and to continue presents two problems; high legal fees with fines and loss of revenue from sales. The sale of medical marijuana is not taxed and it is only the recreational use that is taxed. 35% of adults use it now even though it has been an illegal drug. That percentage is not expected to grow from legalization. The 35% represents an estimated 49,000 legal adult users in Benton County. Regulating this drug through legalization makes it safer to use and keeps profits out of drug dealers hands. All marijuana sold is grown here in Washington. These are my positive thoughts.
